welcome

Hi everyone and a warm welcome to my website!

In this very first post, I would like to first explain the structure of my personal website, continue with my motivation on creating and maintaining it and finally, give you some insights in what made me start writing a blog.

Let's start off with the various purposes of this page: First of all, when creating the website I wanted to share materials I created during my studies with everyone whomever they might help. Here Janik Schüttler has been inspiring to me, since he collected and shared his material throughout his whole time at ETH which helped me in my first year's preparations for my final exams quite a bit, so also check out his homepage (ETH | janiks.me) to find more study material there . Furthermore, the idea of writing an own blog popped up in my mind when watching a video on youtube by Ali Abdaal (more on this later on) and lastly, I had the saying "the sooner the better" in mind, when thinking about creating a personal website like all the researchers I know have.
Coming to why I decided writing a blog, I need to tell you it wasn't the first thing I thought of when creating this website. Honestly, it's even been the last point I decided to add after I, as mentioned before, watched a video by Ali Abdaal who convinced me that sharing one's opinion matters and hence, I'd encourage you to do the same!

As I didn't introduce myself yet, I'd like to shortly do so here, but there's more information about my person to be found at the about me section.
I'm a second-year maths student at ETH enjoying to go the extra mile for subjects I'm interested in. In my free time I enjoy doing sports and discussing various topics.
